The Design Process
Our client moved into their home in August of 2023, knowing that no improvements had been made for many years. Their goal was to modernise the kitchen, reconfiguring the layout to make the best use of available space.
Our bespoke design utilises floor-to-ceiling space to increase the number of available storage areas, with an additional layer of top cupboards.
Before finalising our kitchen design, we provided 3D CAD images (in colour) and sketches, including the one below. This allowed the homeowner to visualise the space and request any changes.

Installation
Our bespoke kitchen installation was the second phase of a wider home renovation project, following the design and installation of a new bathroom, “that was all well managed, hence our decision to use Premier again for the kitchen job”.
We began phase two by carefully removing the existing kitchen, including tiled walls and flooring and a concrete slab under the range:

Next, we prepared the kitchen foundations, levelled the floor and re-plastered the walls in preparation for new LVT flooring and our first fit of electrics. This first fit included the addition of double sockets corresponding to the new layout. We then fitted the kitchen, carried out the second fit of electrics, fitted bespoke under-stair storage and installed the granite worktops and upstands.
There was a slight shift in the project timeline due to an issue with the granite worktops, and we’re always upfront that occasional issues can arise—what we can promise is that we’ll do everything we can to resolve them quickly and ensure the finished result meets the highest standards with minimal inconvenience.
Client Testimonial
Client Q&A
Why did you choose to work with Premier Kitchens Bedrooms and Bathrooms for this project?
“For the kitchen we got 3 quotations. Premier was not the cheapest one, but as we were very satisfied with their work on the bathroom etc. we were confident that the standard of work would be high and the project would be well managed.”
Were there any challenges during this project?
“As our house is very old, none of our walls are straight or level. This presented a problem when fitting out both the bathroom and the kitchen. These challenges were overcome very professionally. In addition, extra plasterwork was provided in the bedrooms, coordinated with the electrics.”
If you absolutely had to choose a favourite feature, what would it be?
“The induction hob, as we are used to cooking on gas, but as there is no gas supply here, we elected to go induction, and it’s a lot easier to use than we imagined. They do use induction hobs on MasterChef so it must be pretty good! We love cooking, and it’s great to have a lovely kitchen which we can enjoy using.”
